  • Serge, Janet and family are fine, keeping an eye on the Harris fire.

  • Stow's are fine - no smoke here in Tucson. Chris' parents home may be in the path of the Harris Fire, though they should be well protected by golf course vegetation. Hope Diana and Fritz are doing well - anyone heard from them?
  • Serge got an email from Diana yesterday afternoon. She and family had to evacuate at that point. Not sure how their home is or where they are at the moment.
  • The Thorngrens are evacuated from Ramona.  We are fine, and our house is still standing as of Wednesday morning.

OK in South Park. Lots of evacuees from North County on my block. Smoke from Harris fire covering us now, but otherwise calm here.

la mesa is quiet; i watched the fire come over mt. san miguel from 3 am onwards ... scary thing to witness; peg, kit, ross and i went down to san diego high to donate and help with the 400 evacuated elders who were there this morning with nothing, at that time they really needed help so it was good to be there ... it was good to be busy ... the community response is heart-warming.

OK in North Park - have an 84-year-old great aunt off DeLuz road out of Fallbrook that I may need to get to somehow (evacuated to Temecula). Will A.

As you can imagine PB is far from any fire and very quite (for a change). The only busy thing is our telephone with a lot of calls from Italy asking about the situation.
My wife and son this morning waited in line for almost two hours at Qualcomm stadium in order to bring toys and clothes. What a communitarian response!
